How about a wider net, lets say 21 feet ? Like in tennis, you get more shots in, thus more rallies and usually theses are great shots for spectators.

A wider net sounds really cool. I would propose 22 feet: give an extra foot on each side.
One can kill two birds with one stone by playing singles on a narrow court while keeping the same net: try both ideas at the same time.

Who is going to make 21 foot nets? The beauty of our current set up is that we can use existing sports equipment, a standard-sized net. If we were to adopt a "wider net," the size of the court would need to be made skinnier. I see the potential for this with the singles game, however, not for doubles. Unless of course you want to produce a wider net!

I have done this, it does rock!
But making the current net wider will make the defense even harder! SO I vote no on the wider net, but yes on the thin court with regular net.
